Zelis Healthcare is an information technology company which utilizes an end-to-end technology platform to fulfill the claims cost management and payments needs of healthcare payors including large and medium-sized health plans, TPAs, Taft-Hartley Plans, providers and individuals.  The company provides a comprehensive portfolio of network management, claims integrity, payment remittance solutions and analytical services for medical, dental and workers' compensation claims to over 500 payor clients.  Additionally, the company delivers electronic payments and explanation of payments to over 200,000 healthcare providers and serves individuals with provider lookup and medical referral services.

Position Overview

The Cash Application Specialist ensures timely invoicing, accuracy of billing, and prompt receipt of payment and resolution of aged receivables, while adhering to outlined policies and procedures .

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and send customers monthly billing files of claims invoiced in the prior month.
• Prepare and send files of aged claims to customers.Follow-up with customer to determine expectation of time frame to resolve aged claims.
• Process claim corrections and reversals in the Company’s accounting system.
• Researching and resolve any material variances of unapplied cash i.e., enrollment cash payment, etc.
• Prepare checks and supporting back-up for network vendor payments.
• Other job duties as needed.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with a desire to further refine those skills.
• Superior customer service skills
• Ability to adapt to changing job functions.
