This position serves as a Financial Analyst II in Accounting Services to assist with duties tied to university Credit Card Operations managed by the department.
This position will employ an individual with strong organizational skills; good time management skills; the ability to meet specific deadlines and excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. Duties will include performing routine accounting tasks and financial analysis functions to support institutional business processes and administrative monitoring of the overall financial health of the institution.

Duties will include performing routine accounting tasks and financial analysis functions to support institutional business processes and administrative monitoring of the overall financial health of the institution.
Functions of this position include:
- Responsible for university Credit Card Operations within the Accounting Services Department
- Request merchant identification numbers for departments within TTUHSC and manage accounting entries tied to such numbers
- Reconcile merchant information between Credit Card processor and TTUHSC Merchant Accounts
- Maintain inventory information for Merchant Accounts for use in tracking and deploying training and notifications tied to accounts
- Reconcile Credit Card transaction activity within TTUHSC ledgers, bank accounts and the Credit Card processor
- Act as a liaison between the Credit Card processor and TTUHSC Departments
- Participate in Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) and information security compliance trainings as they relate to higher education
- Assist to develop training materials related to PCI DSS control framework for TTUHSC
- Assist to update policies and procedures that govern payment card processing
- Assist with the development of the TTUHSC Accounting Services Credit Card website
- Other duties and projects as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Accounting
- Experience working with financial data in a professional setting
- Prior experience/knowledge of working within financial/accounting systems
- Prior experience/utilization of Microsoft Excel
- Experience using Cognos Analytics or other similar data querying/reporting tools
- Experience processing and reconciling Credit Card payments
- Awareness of PCI DSS Security Standards and related compliance requirements
- Knowledge of Banner finance system
