Program: 27 (Cedar House)
Location: Arlington, Washington
Shifts: Generally Monday thorugh Friday, may vary as needs and schedules of youth vary (on site position). Part of on call rotations weekday and weekend.
We are looking for a Full Time position in the Snohomish Country area.
Job Summary: Cedar House is a community support for young people 12 up to 18 years old who may find themselves currently or at risk of becoming un-housed, experiencing foster care and/or conflict within the home they reside.
The Crisis Residential Center (CRC) Case Manger – Placement and Liaison Specialist (PALS) is responsible for helping identify and attain any variety of community, medical, mental health, or educational supports and be an advocate to help reasonably meet those needs. Someone in this role would collaborate with the youth, their families and/or service providers to develop and implement their individualized plans. Plans developed would be in accordance with contracts, licensing, and agency protocols.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma & four years experience working with youth in one or more of the below outlined service areas
OR
- Associates Degree & three years experience working with youth in one or more of the below outlined service areas
OR
- Bachelors degree (preferred in a social services area) & two years experience working with youth in one or more of the below outlined service area
OR
- A Masters Degree in Social Services or closely related field
- Years of experience must be in one of the following settings: Mental Health Hospital, Juvenile Rehabilitation facility, detention center, law enforcement, or corrections, a child placing agency or a residential care program in a case management or similar position working with at risk families and youth.
- Be able to provide proof of education
- Microsoft Office Suite experience
- Have a clear criminal history and pass a background check
Licensing and Certifications:
- Currently have or within 30 days of being hired provide a CPR/First Aid certification
- Current driver license, car, and car insurance.
- Currently have or within 30 days of being hired provide a Food Handlers Permit
- TB Test: Within 7 days of first day of employment, or prior to working on site (whichever comes first)
- Currently have or ability to obtain DOH Agency Affiliated Counselors certification, CFARS and CANS Training completion
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working with state agencies
- Previous work with youth in a group setting
- Master's degree in Counseling or Social Work
