```Job Overview:```
This is a dual role position serving as a paraprofessional in the Support Services area. The Case Manager serves as an advocate for all students attending Crispus Attucks Charter School. The Case Manager works with the Senior Case Manager to perform any duties necessary on behalf of all students. The In-School Support Monitor encourages students to work with each other and share responsibilities of good citizenship, reminds students they are responsible for their own actions, and implements disciplinary actions for students who violate school guidelines/rules. The In-School Support Monitor supervises groups of students who are temporarily unable to participate in regular classroom and service site activities due to behavioral issues.
```Specific Duties:```
- Conduct morning security screenings upon student arrival and enforce dress code.
- Monitor internal suspension room.
- Organize discipline files.
- Collect class work for students from teachers and return once completed.
- Assist teachers in classrooms regarding discipline issues.
- Monitor hallways, detention, and lunchroom.
- Issue infractions when needed.
- Other duties as designated by supervisor or CEO.
- Conduct and participate in workshops, committees, and conferences designed to promote the intellectual, social, and physical welfare of students.
- Attend morning and afternoon lineups and make announcements as needed.
- Assist Case Manager in maintaining office files
- Assist Case Manager in any testing such as TABE Test, Drug Testing, etc.
- Assist in coordination of Human Services if needed.
- Assist Discipline Coordinator in student Discipline issues.
- Assist in making Home visits when needed.
- Assist in transporting students when needed.
- Attend meetings with CACS and Employment & Training.
- Maintain and Document incidents.
- Meet with Senior Case Manager and Discipline Coordinator regularly to review status of all students.
- Complete additional duties as assigned by CEO or Senior Case Manager.
```Requirements:```
- High School Diploma (Associate Degree Preferred).
- 1-3 years of case management experience.
- Proficient in computer usage include Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- Experience in team settings.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of issued facing students in the community.
- Ability to relate to student population.
- Knowledge of Human Services.
- Valid PA Driver’s License.
- Continuation of professional education training opportunities relating to areas of responsibility as Case Manager.
- Classroom management.
- Experience working with young adults.
- Knowledge of best practices in discipline assessment.
- Ability to effectively solve problems in a professional manner.
- Respect for the ideas and intelligence of young adults.
