• Shift: Days - 36/hr week - 7 am - 7 pm

Description:
A Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) nurse provides nursing care to patients with critical heart conditions and issues. A CVICU nurse job description will include a variety of tasks that includes everything from administering IV medications to providing emergency support to a patient in heart failure. A CVICU nurse must be calm, detail-oriented and able to make decisions quickly, as CVICU nursing is very complex and fast-paced and your patients are critically ill.

• Providing direct clinical patient care
• Administering medications
• Checking vital signs on CVICU patients
• Operating heart monitors
• Performing therapeutic and/or diagnostic exams
