Registered Nurse - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) - Full Time/Nights
SUMMARY:The Neonatal Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for providing competent nursing care.Responsible for coordination of the patient's plan of care through assessment,planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions that lead toestablished outcomes. This position practices under the direction of thedesignated nurse executive, within the scope of the Nursing Practice Act, andin accordance with Valley Children's Hospital policies.
Valley Children's NICU offers the mostcomprehensive array of services for critically ill newborns to ensure the bestpossible quality of life. Valley Children's main Hospital campusin Madera provides Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU) support - thehighest level of care available for neonates and infants. Valley Children'ssupports a network of NICUs throughout Central California, providing the opportunityfor families with critically ill babies to receive treatment closer to homethroughout his or her entire stay.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS: A) agraduate from an accredited nursing program. BSN strongly preferred; B) anactive California Registered Nurse licensure (RN); C) Life SupportCertifications (see specifics below); and D) experience to correlate withClinical Ladder level. Bilingual skills desirable.
Life Support Certifications required: 1) Heart Code Basic Life Support (BLS)within 30 days and 2) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within six month ofhire or transfer into the position.
POSITION DETAILS: Full Time,69 Hours per pay period, Night shift
PAY RANGE: $38.17 - $62.20
