Description:
POSITION PURPOSE
Provides diagnostic services-Adult echocardiography, stress testing, ECGs and Holter monitoring. Is responsible for the safe and effective function of complex medical technology used for diagnosis.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE
Education:
- ARDMS registry required.
- ACLS certification required for all positions performing stress testing- new hires allowed 3 months to comply.
- Completion of a formal 2 year or associate degree program in diagnostic medical sonography (approved by Joint Review Committee on Education- and the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) registry) or previous certification in another health related field preferred
- Successful completion of a certificate program in medical sonography preferred.
- Responsible for educational needs in accordance with license.
