Basic Functions and Responsibilities:

Seeking to hire a motivated and experienced registered Cardiac Sonographer to work in an expanding outpatient cardiovascular laboratory in our Dearborn/Southfield clinics. You will work alongside highly skilled and experienced Cardiac Sonographers and cardiovascular surgeons. We are an outpatient-based high-volume clinic with no on-call, no holidays, or weekends. The candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced outpatient environment with a team-ordinated mentality. This position requires an independent, skilled Cardiac Sonographer performing high-quality Echocardiograms, Stress/Dobutamine Echocardiograms, Definity contrast, and Agitated saline studies. The transthoracic echocardiogram studies include two-dimensional cardiac ultrasound, M mode, and color Doppler. The Cardiac Sonographer will report any significant findings to the physician.

Qualifications:

1. Associate's degree in cardiovascular or applied sciences, or equivalent, to be familiar with the anatomy and physiology of the cardiovascular system and to comprehend the theoretical and conceptual bases of related testing procedures.

2. 1+ years experience in Echocardiography, Phonocardiography, or equivalent related experience preferred.

3. Registered as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).

4. Registered Cardiac Sonographer within six months of hire.

Work Schedule:

· Full-time/Part-time

· Monday-Friday

· No weekends or holidays

Experience:

· 1+ years as a Registered Cardiovascular Technologist

License/Certification:

• BLS Certification (Preferred)
• RDCS (Required)
• CCI Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) (Required)

Willingness to travel:

• 25% (Preferred)

Work Location: One location

Salary: $35.00 - $37.00 per hour
