This is a hybrid position. The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites up to four days per week and work remotely the remaining day(s). A member of our Talent Acquisition team will provide more details.
Job Summary: Support day-to-day derivative operations, ensuring all relevant processing and maintenance functions are completed accurately, within prescribed timeframes, and in accordance with established departmental procedures.
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure proper trade capture of new Interest Rate Derivative transactions and their lifecycle events including terminations, amendments, assignments, exercises, and expirations.
  • Ensure various market rates are accurately input by cutoff times.
  • Deliver rate reset/settlement notices to clients on respective fixing dates.
  • Acquire and sustain solid knowledge of all systems and applications that are utilized, including their limitations, and required workarounds.
  • Investigate trade and settlement breaks and interact with internal business partners, clients, or clearing brokers to resolve them.
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries, in a timely, and with professionalism.
  • Understand the roles and responsibilities of other units within the department and effectively interface with those units when required.
  • Maintain a fundamental understanding of the ISDA Definitions governing the documentation of Interest Rate Derivative products.
  • Provide training to other team members as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Strong attention to detail; must be able to effectively time manage and prioritize multiple responsibilities; strong organizational and communication skills (both verbal and in written form); proficient at Microsoft Excel and Word; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to quickly adapt to change and work in a deadline-oriented environment; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or finance required; 1-2 years of operations experience within a banking/investment banking environment desired.

The typical base pay range for this role is between $55K - $65K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
