Job Description:
Experienced Know Your Client professional leading a Client Service KYC Operational team for the refresh and review process.
Focusing on and in partnership with a specific business line, coordinate, complete and review the KYC refresh process of client accounts. Knowledgeable and experienced individual to supervise a team both onshore and off shore processing client Periodic Reviews according to industry, regulatory and Mizuho standards. Close coordination with the business lines, Compliance, internal and external clients.
Duties will include verification of client data, performing due diligence checks, reviewing KYC documentation, risk assessment, client outreach, assisting in 4-eye review of files, liaising with the Business and Compliance/AML teams and advising on KYC requirements. This role is responsible for managing and monitoring the process including executing regularly scheduled client reviews to complete Client Due Diligence and Enhanced Due Diligence. Work closely with peers within Client Services Group (CSG) to ensure operational targets are met. This role requires a hands on approach.
Key Responsibilities:
Primary responsibility will be to focus on High Risk regular reviews for a business line to ensure all CDD and EDD regulatory requirements are met, all required documentation is accurate/comprehensive and obtained in a timely manner. In addition to manage and monitor the medium and low risk designated business line accounts performed by offshore teams.
Liaise with Front Office, Compliance, IT and Operations to resolve KYC exceptions and obtain approvals when necessary.
Complete client outreach, prioritize and track the process including escalations.
Oversight and monitoring of regular reviews, working closely with infrastructure partners and assisting CSG to complete their reviews
Responsible for event driven reviews, liaising with CSG and Compliance to remediate where necessary, timely escalation of client or operational issues to manager/department head.
Complete 4-eye checks to ensure team’s reviews completed have met all KYC Regulatory requirements and identifying all training needs that will benefit CSG Periodic Review Team to increase efficiency and quality.
Drive process improvements and implement process changes as required.
Make decisions that are effective based on guidelines, policies and insights.
Communicate with focus clients and Front Office coverage to provide regulation guidance, organizing calls with Front Office, Compliance and Clients when needed.
In coordination with the Periodic Review Team Manager assist in the process of audits, data remediations and ad hoc requests.
Skills:
Very strong level knowledge of KYC process and regulations.
Strong knowledge of market practices related to KYC operations
Good judgement, sense of urgency and accountability; time- management; organizational and problem solving skills
Ability to supervise and train others
Ability to execute in a high pressure environment
Good interpersonal skills and team player
Strong written and verbal communication skills
CAMS Certification preferred
The expected base salary ranges from $100,000 - $140,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
