Job Description
- Reports to WAN Lead Engineer (LE) and reviews and provides feedback to the development of new systems
- Coordinate engineering efforts with the ADNS IPT leads across NIWC LANT and NIWC PAC
- Responsible for the technical integrity of the installation of ECRs for ADNS systems
- Perform systems engineering services in all phases of a project life cycle
- Develop and maintain technical system documentation related to system configuration, troubleshooting, and traceability.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physical Science (Masters degree in Engineering preferred)
- Secret clearance required
- Minimum of six (6) years of experience supporting the engineering of Information Technology systems for a DoD or Government Agency (systems engineering experience for DoD or Navy projects or systems preferred)
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience supporting the engineering of DoD Afloat Network systems (ADNS or other Navy Wide Area Networks preferred)
- Experience with requirements definition and management, system test and integration, writing technical documentation, and creating design artifacts
- Experience in network engineering
- Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (implementation of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) preferred)
- Ability to analyze customer capabilities and support missions through detailed processes and requirements traceability.
