Form of workThe Cancer Registrar is responsible for the maintenance of the Cancer Registry in accordance with the guidelines of the such agencies as the American College of Surgeons, The Joint Commission, Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) , American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC), Standards for Oncology Registry Entry (STORE) and the Virginia Department of Health (Virginia Cancer Registry). Registry activity includes collection and reporting of cancer data to state and national databases and providing data as requested to Centra administrators and physicians.
