The ideal candidate will have great communication, strong people skills and a positive attitude. They will be a collaborative team player who is solution-oriented, able to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment and have a high sense of urgency. Multi-tasking is essential in this role as billing representatives make a real difference to their customers and the company. In this role, you will learn how to provide over-the-phone account and payment support services.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manage a high volume of incoming ad outbound calls (approx. 80-100 daily)
- Assist customers who have billing inquires and/or are calling to make a payment/update payment method, cancellations, etc.
- Assist with questions related to price increases and process account corrections as needed.
- Educate customers on past due balances and set up payment arrangements as needed.
- Apply credits to customer accounts as needed.
- Build sustainable relationships and trust with customer accounts through open and interactive communication.
- Assist with other billing department duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- No experience required
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Oversee collections staff
- Monitor schedule adherence
- Set daily goals and manage staff productivity
- Ensure collectors follow protocols, laws, and regulations to collect payments efficiently
