Exhale Sinus TMJ | Headache | Sleep is located in Schaumburg. We are dedicated to providing care for patients with Sinus, Nasal, TMJ, Headache and Sleep conditions. We employ physicians who specialize in ENT (Ear, Nose, Throat/Otolaryngology) as well as advanced practice providers including a nurse practitioner and physician assistants.
We are looking for a Patient Representative to our team and provide support in the Call Center. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in customer service, be able to work quickly and accurately under pressure, and have excellent communication skills. The representative will be responsible for answering the the phones, filter calls if needed and always making the patient feel heard . This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced medical environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Serves as the first point of contact for patients when they call ES
- Listen for and obtain actionable feedback of patient calls
- Understand and follow the patient journey
- Provide information about services
- Resolve customer complaints or issues
- Direct calls to appropriate departments or individuals
- Keep records of customer interactions and transactions
- Follow up on customer inquiries not immediately resolved
- Research required information using available resources
- Analyze customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions
- Adhere and meet KPI expectations
- Maintain confidentiality of Patient PHI and any other related information according to practice privacy practices and HIPAA
- Maintain good attendance, arrive on time ready and prepared to perform job functions daily
Qualifications:
- Positive and patient attitude
- Previous experience in a Call Center or customer service role preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Ability to handle high call volumes and work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in computer applications and software, including Google Suite
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Knowledge of medical office procedures and terminology is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bilingual is a plus
