The Lead Mobile Maintenance Technician provides guidance to team members on a daily basis providing training and mentoring. The position is responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance, routine and on demand services on facility mechanical and electrical equipment and systems for multiple facilities. The Lead Mobile Maintenance Technician demonstrates BGIS values in communications with the clients and other team members.
Responsibilities
Client Service Focus and Team Supervision
- Maintain positive and professional working relationships with internal and external clients.
- Respond to customer requests for service.
- Ensure Mobile Technician team has required training and direction on a daily basis to complete assigned tasks to BGIS and client standards.
- Support the creation, review and approval of procedures.
- Supervise contractors and ensure all work completed adheres to BGIS Safety Policies and Procedures.
- Assist in enhancing tenant and customer satisfaction and maintaining positive relations through manner in which work is performed and services delivered.
- Contribute to the completion of other key initiatives as assigned.
Maintenance Activities
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance activities at various facilities, requiring driving of vehicle to different sites.
- Complete work in accordance to established processes and practices.
- Comply with all internal and external requirements including but not limited to environmental, health, safety, and fire protection.
- Provide observations about facility, facility mechanical and electrical equipment and systems conditions and deficiencies and provides recommendations for enhancement and repair.
- Respond to routine and on demand service requests and perform preventative and corrective maintenance on facility mechanical and electrical equipment and systems.
- Record resolution data within service maintenance management database. Ensures work completed meets quality and contract response requirements.
- Receive, track, monitor and report status of maintenance and repair work within service maintenance management database. Initiate documents to authorize or obtain formal approval of work required.
- Assist in the implementation of preventative maintenance (PM) program. Ensure that deficiencies are identified, recorded, and escalated, and that related documentations are maintained.
- Participate in facility related projects.
- Ensure work is performed is in compliant with corporate and legislated policies, procedures, practices and guidelines related to environmental, health and safety, fire protection and any other applicable requirements.
- Maintain all assigned tools and arrange for repair and replacement as required.
- Submit all expenditures on a timely basis.
