Summary of Duties:
CAHNRS Finance and Administration Fiscal Specialist supports CAHNRS Finance and Administration in providing specialized fiscal support for the College of Agricultural, Human, and Natural Resource Sciences. The CAHNRS Finance and Administration Fiscal Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of professional financial reviews and analysis of fiscal and budget data including, preparing monthly budget reconciliations, including the sources of funds for expenses; monitoring budgets; reviewing actual expenses monthly, financial commitment tracking, and coordinating communication to the CAHNRS Finance Team regarding balances and funding issues. This position also provides college-level coordination, review, and pre-approval of personnel, payroll, and position management actions within CAHNRS as assigned. This position is responsible for performing, coordinating, and overseeing a variety of professional financial and policy reviews and analysis of all CAHNRS personnel actions, including funding, salary values, personnel requests, preparing reports, and troubleshooting.
Required Qualifications:
Three years of fiscal record keeping experience; OR equivalent education/experience.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Demonstrated knowledge and skill proficiency of financial, administrative systems, or similar systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Excel Word, PowerPoint), AIS applications, Budget Planning System, and Business Objects. Preferred advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Sound knowledge of WSU Business Policies and Procedures.

Monthly Salary:
Range 40, $3,376.00 - $4,497.00 (Steps A - M) | Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.
