This is how you will grow:
The CAE Battery Engineer will build detailed computer models for battery components using FEA and CFD.
- Collaborate with engineering teams based on analyses to evolve designs.
- Drive battery module designs, considering manufacturing requirements, while balancing state-of-the-art design and innovative manufacturing methodologies.
- Perform advanced simulations to enhance subsystems and full product behavior, and develop innovative methodologies using smart analysis techniques to improve products
- Coordinate the release of designs, acquire design approvals, ensure designs are manufacturable, component readiness, track piece cost, investment & mass, support future design direction, lead, and facilitate resolution of component issues
- Lead design changes through change management process,
- Support supplier quality assurance & warranty resolution.
This is how you will take us forward:
- 1+ years of demonstrated successful experience CFD (computational fluid dynamics) & Thermal dynamics
- Excellent applied experience in ANSYS-FLUENT, STAR CCM+
- Experience in stand-alone or coupled analysis of electronic components for thermal, fluid mechanics, electro-magnetism, and structural
- Experience in the analysis of coupled thermal-electrical problems, fluid flow through vehicle bodies, and electronics cooling
- Demonstrated experience in simulating steady state and transient single and multi-phase fluid flows on sub-systems and full vehicle models
- Applied Solid Mechanics, Material Science and Computational Numerical Methods within a product development environment in a transportation industry a plus
- Applied experience in ANSA or HYPERWORKS, preferred
- Additional experience in LS-DYNA, NASTRAN, TOSCA, MODEFRONTIER and ABAQUS, preferred
- Preferred experience in HV battery design and optimization
