We are hiring for the $1.6 billion High Speed Rail project that is constructing the first high-speed rail system in our nation. Harris & Associates and PGH Wong are the joint-venture team working for the California High Speed Rail Authority to deliver the first 29-mile segment of this historic project—which has become a model for success across the United States. 

The CAD Drafter provides technical electronic drafting support to project teams providing Design Services. Position requires flexibility and willingness to learn new skills, grounded on basic engineering drafting principals. 
  
Position Responsibilities:

• Offers production CAD support and short cuts to efficient production. 
• Utilizes CAD standards, training manuals, CAD Library to produce drawings. 
• Maintains CAD information back-ups of affected drawings. 
• Proficient at plotting drawings and making electronic file submissions.  

 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Computer skills including AutoCAD 2012 or later; AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012 or later, Excel, and other software used by the Design group.
• Written and oral communication skills sufficient to interact effectively with other team members, occasionally interface with clients and sub-consultants.
• Technical skills appropriate for the type of design tasks assigned.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma
• Minimum of 5 years of progressively complex drafting work via AutoCAD / Microstation as a Technician or CAD Drafter or above.
• Relevant experience with transportation based project preferred. 

B.O.E. $34hr-$45hr
