Overview
TRC is seeking a highly motivated CAD Drafter with of professional experience to be part of our design team in the Santa Ana, CA office. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic to work with other engineers, project managers, and other technical staff assisting with all CAD drawings as well as traffic sign panel design. Training opportunities will be provided.
Responsibilities

• Use CAD software such as MicroStation/AutoCAD to create/design for traffic sign panels and plan preparation.
• Collaborate with staff engineers and design lead to produce drawings that meet their specifications.
• Modify existing drawings as needed to meet project requirements.
• Ensure that all drawings are accurate and adhere to industry standards and regulations.
• Maintain organized files and documentation of all drawings.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, clients, and public agencies.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Drafting and Design or equivalent from an accredited college, technical

school, or equivalent experience or accreditation
Min. of 2 years of experience

• Proficient in CAD software, such as MicroStation and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of drafting standards and practices.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in creating technical drawings.
• Ability to read and interpret civil engineering drawings.
• Ability to analyze design sketches and specifications to create technical drawings.
• Time management skills to work with multiple projects and competing deadlines.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of the team.
• Advanced mathematic skills
• Knowledge of Guide Sign is a plus.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the following compensation range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition: $30-$38/hour. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.

Salary Range
USD $30.00 - USD $38.00 /Hr.
