Autocad / Revit Drafter

Structural Engineering Company seeking a professional familiar working with high end luxury home clients. We are seeking a AutoCAD / Revit Drafter with 5 - 8 years’ experience in residential/commercial design.

This role focuses on fulfilling the drafting requirements of structural engineers, with prior experience in structural detailing. Specifically, candidates should possess expertise in areas such as beam-to-post connections, foundation detailing, and timber framing specifics.

Applicants without structural detailing experience are not suitable for this position.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in generating foundation, framing, and site plans, along with constructing construction structural connection details guided by the project engineer's directives.

Essential skills include the ability to produce elevations, cross sections, and detailed structural drawings from preliminary sketches and engineering references. Familiarity with various structural details like connections, hold-downs, and cross sections is advantageous. Duties will be carried out under the supervision of the project manager.

Skills required:

• Extensive Experience w/ AutoCAD and Revit.
• Basic knowledge of framing and field construction required (understanding the difference between a floor joist and roof rafter, etc)
• 8+ years of structural drafting experience.
• Ability to interpret structural and architectural plans to provide structural detailing.
• Knowledge of basic construction material, ex: wood, steel and concrete.
• Proficient at detailing complex structural components.
• Strong verbal & written communication skills.
• Planning and organizational skills to manage timelines and deliverables for multiple project deadlines.
• AutoCAD certification, preferred.
• Ability to work both independently, as well as part of a team.
• Strong leadership skills preferred
• Knowledge of Bluebeam Revu/Adobe.
• Experience with Google Earth.
