Form of workOur client is an environmental consulting and construction firm that designs and implements sustainable environmental solutions, including solid and hazardous waste management, landfill gas, site remediation, renewable energy, and regulatory compliance. They have an immediate opportunity for an onsite Civil CAD Drafter/Designer within Northern California.
Location: Northern California (Pleasanton, CA - Hybrid Schedule)
Position Overview: As a Civil CAD Drafter/Designer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, with a preference for those with expertise in landfill design. This position will be based in our Pleasanton, CA office, with flexibility for other office locations within California.
Responsibilities:
- Perform drafting, detailing, and graphics layout with limited supervision.
- Prepare construction documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Apply and adhere to appropriate CAD standards and best practices.
- Conduct volume calculations using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Support all aspects of drafting or CAD under the supervision of the lead professional.
- Prepare site plan layouts from existing maps or tracings, corrections to existing drawings, etc.
- Generate well boring logs from field notes.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in drafting or graphics (consideration may be given to candidates with less experience).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.
- 2+ years of experience in civil and site grading.
- Valid driver's license with a driving record in good standing.
