Job Title: CAD Drafter II
Business Title: CAD Designer
Department: R&D Reports to: Manager, Design, VDC, & Digital
Job Summary: Perform a variety of design and drafting duties to produce finished assembly, bills of materials, and detail drawings using SolidWorks for 3D modeling and 2D drafting to support our Document Control, New Product Development, and Sustaining Engineering needs.
Primary Functional Responsibilities:
? Create or revise accurate, detailed CAD models, manufacturing drawings, BOM’s, and other engineering documentation as required.
? Prepare all required documents and reports on projects including progress.
? Check own work prior to submitting for approval.
? Check peer’s work as required.
? Perform other related duties as directed by Design Supervisor.
Minimum Requirements:
? Industrial Technology or other related field.
? Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
? Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D modeling and 2D mechanical drafting practices.
? Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
? Knowledge of SolidWorks PDM.
? Excellent attention to detail.
? Excellent organizational skills.
? Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
Language Skills: Ability to read and understand both written and oral instructions.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Typical work week will be 40 hours with extended hours as necessary.
5% travel may be required for field training
Work Environment: Usual office conditions. May be exposed to shop elements. When in the plant environment, typical exposure (in brief increments) could include the following working conditions:
Extreme Heat and Cold, Noise, Vibration, Oils, and Atmospheric Conditions such as Dust, Fumes, and Metallic Particles.
