Entry Level Landscape Architect

Job Summary: Design Outside, LLC is seeking a passionate and creative individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Landscape Architect. As a Landscape Architect, you will work alongside experienced professionals to design, plan, and oversee the implementation of outdoor spaces. Responsibilities:

1. Assist senior Landscape Architects in the conceptualization and development of landscape design plans.
2. Collaborate with project teams to conduct site analysis, including site inventory, assessment, and research.
3. Contribute to the creation of design concepts, sketches, and renderings using various software tools and techniques.
4. Assist in the preparation of construction documents, including detailed drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
5. Participate in client meetings and presentations to communicate design ideas and gather feedback.
6. Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure the successful implementation of landscape projects.
7. Conduct on-site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design intent and specifications.
8. Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and sustainable design principles to enhance professional knowledge and skills.
9. Support marketing and business development efforts by assisting in the preparation of proposals, presentations, and promotional materials.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited institution.
2. Strong design skills with proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D modeling software (e.g., SketchUp, Rhino).
3. Knowledge of landscape design principles, plant materials, and construction techniques.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
5. Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently to meet project deadlines.
6. Enthusiasm for sustainable design practices and a commitment to environmental stewardship.
7. Previous internship or relevant work experience in Landscape Architecture or landscape construction is desirable but not required.
8. Eligibility for licensure as a Landscape Architect (L.A.) or willingness to pursue licensure in the future.
