Since our founding in 1988, Angstrom Sciences has been dedicated to the design and manufacture of advanced magnetron sputtering cathodes for both industrial and research customers around the world. Our cathodes are used to manufacture many high-technology products including smart phones, microelectronics, flat panel TV’s, and thin film solar cells. What are the essential functions for the position?
· Design and detail product drawings using Autodesk Inventor.
· Ensure accuracy, quality and on-time release of job packages.
· Resolve design and manufacturing issues with production department.
· Support sales team in pre-sales technical concept, budgeting activities, and approval drawing process.
What does it take to be a successful CAD Designer?
· Ability to clearly communicate with people at all levels of an organization with good written and verbal communication skills.
· Participation in a collaborative approach to complete tasks and assignments.
· Ability to organize and self-manage workload around defined project goals.
· Excellent level of computer proficiency utilizing Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and MRP systems.
· Ability to conceptualize, design, and detail independently with minor instruction from project engineering.
· Through understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
· Good organization skills; focused on attention to detail and accuracy.
What are the minimum qualifications for the position?
· Associate or Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Engineering CAD Technology, or equivalent from an accredited college or university.
· Five years of related experience and/or training, preferred.
· Proficient with Autodesk Inventor.
· Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship.
· Current References.
