Pacific Power Group is looking for a Buyer for spare marine engine parts.
Job Summary: To maintain adequate stocking levels through taking appropriate replenishment actions to achieve high levels of efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Job Details:
- Remote position. Ideally, the person in this role will be in close proximity to one of our following locations, but not required:
- Kent, WA (Seattle, WA)
- Fort Lauderdale, FL
- Ridgefield, WA (Portland, OR)
- Harahan, LA (New Orleans, LA)
- Travel, up to 25%
- Schedule, Monday - Friday, traditional business hours.
- Wage Range, $30.00 to $39.00 per hour, based on skills and experience.

Requirements:Primary (Essential) Duties:
- Proactively use provided tools and reports to create, review, and place vendor replenishment orders.
- Ensure adequate stocking levels are maintained to improve Parts Department Fill Rates, Service Department efficiency, and Customer satisfaction.
- Planning and scheduling inventory orders and receipt to maintain department metrics and inventory control.
- Maintain current purchase order status so that estimated delivery dates and lead times remain as accurate as possible.
- Minimize exposure to obsolete and excess inventory.
- Cultivate cooperative relationships with vendors.
- Provide Leadership with updates, vendor performance, and other key metrics.
- Assist in resolving order discrepancies and damaged/missing shipments.
- Communicate with warehouse personnel regarding incoming shipments, deliveries, and paperwork.
- Assist in maintaining level 1 IC system data (Supersessions, Quantity packs, UOM, etc).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Critical thinking skills.
- Intermediate computer skills (typing, MS Office, emails, etc.).
- Proficiency in Excel. Ability to create, manipulate, and analyze spreadsheets, tables, and charts.
- A methodical approach to figures and reporting.
- Knowledge of demand and supply planning/ordering.
- Excellent numerical and logical analytic skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Well defined organization and time management system.
- Ability to recognize and resolve problems quickly while attempting to minimize the impact to operations.
- Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Customer Service Skills.
- Basic knowledge of engine and transmission parts.
Experience/Education Requirements:
- 3+ years’ experience in buying or purchasing, or other relevant experience.
- 5+ years’ Customer Service experience.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 2+ years’ experience in industrial/engine parts industry preferred.
- APIC’s Membership/Certifications preferred
Other Requirements:
- Occasional travel may be required.
