Locale is now seeking Bussers, Runners, and Hostess’ for immediate hire. Positions are perfect for college students and experienced industry workers alike. Employees are offered a competitive base salary plus tips. Ability to work weekends is Required.
Who We Are:
Locale is a modern style Italian restaurant located on Main Street in the heart of Patchogue Village.
Responsibilities:
Bussing
- Prepare dining areas before guests are seated
- Set tables with candles, napkins, linens and flowers
- Place tableware and condiments on tables
- Serve water and bread
- Remove dirty utensils and replenish, as needed
- Provide special silverware sets to families with young children
- Clean and reset tables after guests leave
- Maintain health and safety regulations at all kitchen and dining areas
Hosting
- Prepare dining areas before guests are seated
- Seating tables
- Managing guest reservations
- Manage guests via an OpenTable table management system
- Assisting with side work responsibilities
Food Running
- Preparing garnishes
- Expediting food tickets
- Running dishes to appropriate tables (and seat numbers)
- Assisting with side work responsibilities
Skills
- Work experience as a Busser, Food Runner or other entry-level role in a restaurant is a plus
- Flexibility to work 2-4 shifts, especially weekends, evenings and holidays
- Understanding of hygiene and food safety rules
- Physical ability and stamina to carry heavy trays and stand for long hours
- Ability to multitask and remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with OpenTable is a plus
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
