We’re actively seeking a talented Business Strategy Consultant to join our Workforce Benefits Division (WBD) in Newport Beach, CA; Omaha NE or Lynchburg, VA. This fulltime role can be on-site, hybrid, or 100% remote.
As a Business Strategy Consultant, you’ll play a key role in Pacific Life’s growth and long-term success by being a strategic partner, consultant and implementer that helps facilitate the Vice President’s vision for the division, build a healthy organization and drive critical cross-functional efforts. This individual wears many hats with responsibilities that are multifaceted across the organization. They excel at “getting things done” in a dynamic environment, encapsulate the direction that drives teams forward, and act as the glue to ease communications and unite people.
How you will make an impact:
Create and develop strategic narratives and communications for both internal and external audiences.
Manage all internal and external communications for the Senior Vice President, and project manage executive meetings, presentations, and material creation.
Scope to include WBD Senior Leadership Meetings, Quarterly Business Reviews, Board of Directors, Annual Bank meetings, rating agency presentations, division communication meetings, external/producer communications.
Support executive-level decision-making by analyzing/synthesizing information, developing conceptual frameworks and models, and coordinating cross-functional strategic initiatives.
Partner with the Senior Vice President to set topics/agendas, develop approach and materials for Senior Leadership team off-sites, planning cycles, and officer meetings, and help ensure continued focus on key priorities with management and prioritization of Executive Vice President calendar and meetings, in close collaboration with the Executive Administrative Assistant.
Provide substantial support for the VP, Head of Distribution in finalizing and standing up the WBD’s distribution operating model, and lead and execute special and/or discrete projects (i.e. M&A, partnerships), owning research and structuring of opportunities while “connecting the dots” across the organization.
Assist in developing internal processes and procedures to ensure complete and smooth operational efficiency across all functions and provide ad-hoc support for other divisional initiatives; help in formulating recommendations to help troubleshoot and/or create a plan of action or monitoring to move divisional initiatives forward.
Partner and maintain cross-departmental relationships to enable successful delivery of initiatives, alignment to strategic objectives, and consistent communications of divisional priorities.

Base Pay Range:
The base pay range noted represents the company’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.
$159,660.00 - $195,140.00
