BUSINESS SERVICES ANALYST (LAW & JUSTICE)
SALARY INFORMATION
In addition to performance-based merit increases, this position is scheduled to receive salary range increases on the following dates:
Effective June 28, 2024 - 4.25% increase
Effective June 27, 2025 - 4.00% increase
Salary may be negotiable within the range listed above, based on position requirements and successful candidate's qualifications, subject to appropriate authorization.

The eligible list established through this recruitment will be used to fill a current vacancy in the Orange County District Attorney's Office and may also be used to fill positions in similar and/or lower classifications throughout the County of Orange.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS AND CORE COMPETENCIES:
Criminal Justice Experience
- Knowledge of procedures related to the collection, analysis, and sharing of case-related information.
- Minimum of one (1) year of professional experience in a criminal justice system.
- Evidence.com Mastery: Demonstrated experience navigating and leveraging the Evidence.com software application for efficient data management.
- Case Management Systems or Record Management System: In-depth understanding and hands-on experience with case or records management systems for streamlined operations.
- Computer Proficiency: Strong computer skills with proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Power BI
- Knowledge of business systems, equipment, and applications that are common in criminal justice operations such as systems to streamline the criminal discovery process.
- Strong organization skills including the ability to manage time wisely and effectively prioritize multiple, competing tasks.
- Ability to work within tight deadlines, managing multiple projects.
- Ability to determine necessary sequence of activities and efficient resource allocation for short and long-term goals.
- Ability to accurately identify issues, impacts, and solutions.
- Ability to develop creative and innovative solutions.
- Ability to gather, analyze, research, interpret, and apply relevant data skillfully to achieve measurable results with program outcomes.
- Ability to demonstrate professionalism, tact, and diplomacy in representing the OCDA.

RECRUITMENT PROCESS:
District Attorney Human Resources will screen all applications in order to identify the candidates who meet the minimum qualifications for this position based on the skills required to meet the needs of the Department. After the initial screening, qualified applicants will be referred to the next step of the selection process.

Applications and supplemental responses will be screened for qualifications that are highly desirable and most needed to successfully perform the duties of this job. Only those applicants that meet the qualifications as listed in the job bulletin will be referred to the next step.
Application Appraisal Panel | Application Rating (Weighted 100%):
Application materials will be rated by a panel of job knowledge experts for those qualifications most needed to perform the duties of the job. This is a competitive process; therefore, applicants should be thorough in their responses. Only the highest-scoring candidates from the application rating will be referred to the next step.
Eligible List: Once the assessment has been completed, District Attorney Human Resources will establish an eligible list of candidates. Candidates placed on the eligible list may be referred to a selection interview to be considered for present and future vacancies.
Based on the Department's needs, the recruitment process above may be modified. Candidates will be notified of any changes in the selection procedures.
