The Sales Engineer position is an engineering role within the sales team. Individuals in this position are responsible for supporting account executives in the development of solutions and support for prospective clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Communicate with prospective and existing customers directly and through Account Executives to understand current network environment, business and, technical requirements.
  • Designs solutions for customer applications, including preparation of network topologies and technical specifications.
  • Prepare pre-sale conceptual designs.
  • Help conduct customer site surveys as required to ensure successful installation of services
  • Provide input on post-sale documentation and support to installation and project management personnel as needed to clarify service expectations; including providing diagrams, written documentation and verbal explanation as required.
  • Provide technical sales support to ensure integration and implementation of company solutions
  • Acts as a liaison between customers, sales teams and the ALLO Communications team.
  • Present technical training to new and existing Account Executives and Sales Support personnel.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry and emerging technology within the telecommunications industry.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
  • Effectively represent ALLO Communications to customers and at field events such as conferences and seminars.
  • Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs.

EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor degree in either a business or technical area preferred.

EXPERIENCE:
  • Relevant work experience with telecommunication services and data networks.
  • Relevant work experience involving sales or customer service.

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
  • Must be self-motivated with experience in sales and knowledge of technology.
  • Must be comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base.
  • Must have strong presentation skills.
  • Must be able to communicate professionally verbally and in written response to emails, RFPs, and when submitting reports.
  • Strong analytical abilities as well as persuasion/negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency at eliminating sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches.
