Job Description
The Business Programs Manager supports and contributes to the comprehensive financial coordination of Clinical Research business administration and systems essential to the successful start-up and management of El Camino Hospital's portfolio of drug and device studies. Reporting to the Director of Clinical Research, the primary responsibilities are to ensure accuracy across all areas of Clinical Research study budgeting and finances, including, but not limited to, financial feasibility, budget development, billing, reimbursements, and accruals. This position performs duties in financial contract management as well as some accounting responsibilities for active studies. The Business Programs Manager works collaboratively with cross functional groups (e.g., Legal, Finance, Hospital Billing, system owners, and Clinical Operations to ensure proactive communication is used to identify potential issues and/or inconsistencies and take corrective action as appropriate. Coordinates with hospital stakeholders and clinical service providers to develop and maintain comprehensive financial/clinical trial performance reports for the ongoing tracking and assessment of El Camino Hospital's Clinical Research portfolio. Ensures regulatory and legal compliance.
Qualifications
BA/BS with 5+ years' experience in Clinical Research Operations with contracting, budgeting, and financial responsibilities
Paralegal or Master's preferred
Solid knowledge of ICH/GCP guidelines and FDA regulations
Knowledge of billing compliance requirement
Familiarity with Medicare and other government guidelines for patient billing a plus
Working knowledge of clinical trial process, medical coding, and hospital reimbursement Proficiency in Microsoft Office systems and experience with Clinical Trial Management Systems
Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
Ability to communicate clearly in a positive, proactive, effective and efficient manner
Excellent interpersonal skills, dependable and proactive team player
Constructive approach to problem solving while balancing events and demands
Salary Range:
46.55 - 69.83 USD Hourly
