We seek a dynamic Business Operations & Strategy Lead to work closely with leadership and spearhead key initiatives across the Baselane organization. The ideal candidate will thrive running complex cross-functional initiatives, and have a strong analytical background to frame data-driven decisions. You will be responsible for partnering with cross-functional leadership to help track and meet quarterly goals, as well as play a critical role in shaping the strategy and overseeing operational execution of key initiatives for 2024, including launching new products, launching our SaaS offering, scaling our banking/payment operations and enabling an omni-channel approach to cross-selling. This is a key role where you will be uniquely positioned to impact Baselane's efforts across all functions.

Responsibilities

• Track KPIs and manage the financial and operating models
• Set up an operational cadence to track Baselane's operational and financial metrics (including quarterly OKRs), and drive cross-functional initiatives to ensure we (over) deliver on targets.
• Manage Baselane's models and related analyses to evaluate different growth plans and allocate resources as inputs for board and/or investor meetings.
• Communicate with our leadership team; help us understand the state of the business, drivers of over/underperformance, and where levers can be pulled to shape our trajectory.


• Lead operations efforts cross-functionally
• Perform work to inform critical strategic discussions around product expansion, pricing, promotion & rewards programs, vendor selection/onboarding, and more.
• Support the day-to-day management of key infrastructure across our banking and payment processing products.
• More generally, work across the company to pitch in wherever help is needed; one day you might be working with Product to improve our onboarding flow, the next you might be working with our CEO on a board deck, and then you might be working with our Data and Customer Success teams to create and roll-out organization-wide customer segment definitions.


• Quarterback new product & feature launch strategy and execution 
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative customer research to help leadership make informed decisions about product roadmap, brand positioning, and pricing.
• Coordinate launch of new features across Product, Marketing, and Growth to manage interdependencies and to maximize impact to users. 

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience: You have experience in consulting, investment banking, technology, venture capital, or private equity. Bonus if you also have experience in FinTech and/or at an early-stage startup. You have a track record of running complex, cross-functional initiatives in fast-paced environments.
• Scrappy: You are comfortable with ambiguity and enjoy experimenting with new ideas. You have a bias towards action. You move quickly, but intentionally.
• Organized: You enjoy managing multiple initiatives simultaneously and can work independently to drive projects to completion with a high level of attention to detail.
• Intellectual curiosity: You are proactive to identify new opportunities for Baselane and can pick up new projects with limited direction. You are hungry to learn.
• Low ego: No project is too big or too small. You are excited to jump deep into the weeds when needed, and will do anything it takes to get the job done.
• Clear communicator: You have excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills.
• Analytical: You have strong spreadsheet modeling experience.
