Avid Core is seeking an Business Operations Manager with strong accounting experience to support our firm’s next phase of growth.
We’re looking for an organized, detail-oriented person interested in helping a woman-owned small business plan and run day-to-day operations functions to include but not limited to managing and preparing invoices, managing accounts payable and receivable, payroll, benefits administration and management, recruitment and hiring, systems management, inventory management, and policy and process development.
The position is fully remote.

Salary Range: $85,000-$110,000, based on experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for QuickBooks management and reconciliation
- Prepares invoices and manages invoicing process
- Manages and tracks accounts payable and receivable
- Manages employee expense reporting and payment process
- Manages and runs semi-monthly payroll
- Maintains data accuracy in BambooHR and other systems
- Maintains Avid Core Compliance efforts to include all tax and business-related reporting requirements
- Coordinates mandatory employee training efforts
- Manages employee timesheet and reporting compliance
- Manages employee benefits administration to include coordination with 401K, health, dental, vision, short/long-term disability providers
- Helps track company annual budget
- Tracks company assets and manages long-term storage
- Works with recruiting consultant to manage recruitment and hiring efforts
- Oversees and coordinates onboarding and offboarding efforts
- Works with supervisors to coordinate employee annual reviews
- Works with supervisors to implement performance improvement plans as needed
- Updates Avid Core’s employee handbook on a quarterly and/or as needed basis
- Seeks out new, quality, and cost-effective vendors as needed, and maintains relationships with existing vendors such as Human Resource consultants and IT vendors
- Identifies opportunities to streamline processes policies and develops and updates new and existing processes and policies as needed
- Supports contract administration and compliance
- Leads planning efforts for the firm’s annual in-person all hands meeting Participates and tracks action items for Avid Core’s weekly management team/operations meeting
Qualifications/Skills:
- 10+ years of operations experience with a strong background in accounting
- Proficiency with the full Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint)
- Exceptional attention to detail and QA/QC
- Experience with WebEx, Zoom, and other virtual meeting platforms
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks and ability to learn new systems
- Experience with supporting federal government contractor operations is desired

- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting, human resources, or business administration
