About The Opportunity
The Business Operations team–which works at the intersection of Operations, Finance, Marketing, People, Growth, and Technology–enables Worldly to work more efficiently, effectively, and collaboratively. As a startup coming up on its fifth year, Worldly is both growing and maturing, which means it is often taking on new challenges and striving to improve existing activities. In the case of taking on new challenges, Business Operations supports Worldly by setting up system integrations, evaluating risks, and writing and implementing policies. In the case of improving existing activities, Business Operations supports Worldly by simplifying processes, uncovering business insights, and facilitating communication between teams.
One of the major priorities and areas of investment for the Business Operations team and Worldly more broadly is data privacy and security. Worldly handles a large volume of data from customers around the world, so Business Operations has been working with experts inside and outside Worldly to continuously strengthen its security posture. Worldly will continue building this competency to comply with international regulations and customer expectations, making this an area ripe with potential for the coming years. Worldly seeks a Business Operations Intern for the Summer 2024 season to support Worldly’s ongoing efforts to protect the privacy and security of its customers’ data. This represents a unique opportunity for the Business Operations Intern to learn about the inner workings of a technology startup–specifically the security standards in the software industry, the management of cross-functional projects, and the development and implementation of new processes and policies related to security at Worldly.

- Prepare for upcoming security certification audit(s)
