We are offering a paid internship program that will give college students the opportunity to work on exciting projects and interact with professional experts in their chosen field.
We’re pleased to announce that this year’s program will be 9 weeks in length running from 6/25/24 - 8/21/24.
During the program, interns will learn about the airline industry and gain valuable transferable skills that will prepare them for their future. Interns will be partnered with a mentor in one of Hawaiian Airlines’ departments.

The Business Planning & Services team is seeking interns who are analytical, strategic, and creative. Interns will be immersed in in one of the following areas that the BPS team is responsible for:
- Staff modeling, productivity management, business case development and financial management
- Vendor negotiations and performance management
- Business process and technology enablement
- Freighter Line of Business
- Operations analytics for airline operations in general
Minimum Requirements
- Eligible to work in the United States. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university OR received undergraduate degree no earlier than December, 2023.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 at time of application (transcripts will be required)
- Available to fully participate in the entire duration of the internship program from 6/25/24 through 8/21/24
- Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
- Passionate about innovation, service, aviation and Hawaiian Airlines
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Analytical, strong problem-solving skills, organized and detail oriented
- Able to work well on teams and take initiative
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint (there are additional programs that proficiency will be required based on the department.)
- Able to handle confidential information and be professional
**Hawaiian Airlines is regulated by the Department of Transportation (DOT - regulation, 49 CFR part 40) and all applicants are advised that post-offer and/or pre-employment drug testing will be conducted to determine the presence of Marijuana, Cocaine, Opioids, PCP (Phencyclidine), and Amphetamine prior to any offer of employment or transfer into a safety-sensitive position. Failure to submit to testing or positive indications of drug use will render the applicant ineligible for employment with Hawaiian Airlines and any employment offer will be withdrawn.

Please note that the provided salary information serves as a general guideline. Our salary is determined by a candidate's experience and qualifications as well as market and business considerations. The expected pay is $20.00 per hour.
Preferred Qualifications
- Senior status in 2024 highly preferred
- Senior status in 2025 also preferred
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- Mastery of at least one analytics tool or programming language such as Excel (Pivot table, conditional fomulas), SQL, Tableau, Looker, Python, R
- Experience with financial modeling and analyses
- Knowledge of Industrial Engineering principles and/or Continuous Improvement
