Job Title: Business Manager in Hyde Park
Department: Billing/Administrative
BILLING & PRACTICE MANAGEMENT
- Office and Business Expense Management and Reporting-reviewing of expense items, cost comparison, quotes and ordering
- Assist in Office and Business Accounts Payable-monitoring packing slips, receipts, refunds and return of items as needed
- Assists in achieving financial objectives, input and implementation of additional avenues to increase revenue
- Assists in maintaining office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems, layouts and procurements
- Inventory control and payment management
Review of A/R denials and appeals with oversight on aged accounts, assignment of work flows and processes for billing department
Overview of financial performance via monthly reporting of patient counts, insurance charges and payments, aging accounts, total outstanding, collection accounts, patient balances and overall aging, insurance lag times and open notes
- Physician credentialing for all medical staff offices as needed
IME Revenue Management
Reviewing settlement payment spreadsheet with billing dept.
All other duties as assigned
HUMAN RESOURCES
- Contact for employee benefit inquiries, serving as liaison between employees & benefit companies (insurance, investment, credit union, etc.)
- Employee Insurance and benefits-Reviewing for savings, additional incentives and offerings
- 401k-Enrollment, disenrollment, employee inquiries and employee census tracking for reporting
- Process and review benefit invoices and reconcile any discrepancies
- Employee Evaluations-New Hire Evaluations, 30 day evaluations, annual and salary evaluations for Hyde Park staff
- Maintain current Benefits Package to send to prospective and current employees
- Recruitment-Oversight of any and all Employee Recruitment sites (Indeed, Fox College, Monster, etc.) including Temp Staff Resources when needed)
- Hiring- creating ad, conduct interviews, create and send offer letter for incoming Hyde Park staff
- Writing and maintaining Training Plans for new and existing employees, implementing plans for new hires and re-training refresher plans for existing employees in Hyde Park
- Management and enforcement of all company policies and procedures, employee counseling and write up's as needed. Oversight and maintain an up to date CSO Employee Handbook in Hyde Park
- Implementing and set up for OSHA, Emergency and disaster planning and CMS compliance as necessary in Hyde Park
Office Management
- Managing all Hyde Park CSO staff including CSO sports multiplex staff
- OSHA Compliance
- Office Facilities and Repairs Management-Hyde Park
Expectations
- This position is very detailed, and involved.
- It requires you to stay organized and make sure that you can retrace your steps at any time.
- It requires significant relationship building, keeping on top of requests from referring doctors/facilities. We want to make things as easy as possible for them, so that they continue to refer patients to our office.
- It requires a lot of interaction with the doctors, and getting to know their styles and what they expect.
- It is expected that e-mails and voicemails be returned within 24 hours, during business hours.
- If the response needs more follow up, you are expected to respond to the e-mail or voicemail, to let them know when to expect an answer.
- If for any reason you will not be able to meet a deadline, you are expected to let your direct supervisor (or any other staff member that had set the deadline), why you cannot meet it, and when they should expect it.
- You are expected to be patient, courteous and professional at all times, remembering that you have a direct impact on the success of the practice.
