JOB DESCRIPTION
OVERALL OBJECTIVE OF JOB:
To manage and administer the fiscal, human resources, and business operations of the Parks and Recreation Department for efficiency and comply with all applicable policies, procedures, and regulations in an accurate and timely manner. To act with integrity as a liaison between the director, department staff, Dauphin County employees and elected officials, community organizations, other private and public agencies, and the public. The Business Manager plans, organizes, and carries out assignments within established policies and guidelines with considerable initiative, independence, and collaboration as part of the department’s management team under the direction of the Parks and Recreation Director. Standard hours of operation are Monday – Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm, with a flexible work schedule including evenings and weekends as necessary.
