Business Litigation Paralegal

Paralegal Job Description:

Wirtz Law is seeking a full-time Business Litigation Paralegal to join California’s best consumer protection firm. At Wirtz Law, you will take on the world’s largest multi-national auto makers and distributors to fight for your clients’ lemon law rights as part of a growing, vibrant, collegial, and diverse trial team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Scheduling and Calendaring discovery, experts, vehicle inspections, and vehicle surrenders
• Communicating with clients, experts, witnesses, court clerks, opposing counsel and paralegals, and government agencies
• Drafting interrogatories, requests for documents, requests for admission, and deposition notices
• Organizing and preparing documents for experts, depositions, and trial
• Preparing trial demonstratives, including timelines and charts
• Bilingual Spanish a plus

The successful candidate will work with a team of support staff and attorneys and must have independent critical thinking, self-motivation, personal accountability, and strong communication skills, both in-person and over the phone. Strong academic background with exceptional analytical, writing, grammar, and proofreading skills is required. An ability to learn and understand court rules, civil procedure statutes, and court room procedures is also required.

Qualifications:

We look for candidates with:

· Strong academic credentials with a Bachelor’s Degree

· ABA-Approved Paralegal Program certificate

· Ability to work with Clio Grow (crm software)

· Desire to work on behalf of individual plaintiffs against multi-national automakers

· General knowledge about the automotive industry is not necessary

· Desire to have fun and contribute to the winning team

Compensation:

· Competitive pay ($30-$40/hr)
