Job Description
As the Business Intelligence Manager, you will play a key role in establishing and enhancing our reporting and analytics function to unlock insights that drive business value. You will leverage data analytics, data visualization, and data modeling techniques to identify trends that will empower our management team and other functional areas to make more informed data-driven decisions, optimize processes, and meet our enterprise reporting needs. Additionally, you will support our budgeting, forecasting, tracking, and reporting processes, as well as other recurring and ad-hoc reporting and analysis.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with executive and divisional leadership to understand business requirements and translate them into specifications for implementing required reports
- Developing and maintaining ETL pipelines
- Creating and maintaining Power BI data models
- Developing and maintaining advanced DAX calculations
- Designing and maintaining reports
- Creating and maintaining report distribution pipelines
- Providing training to members of the organization on the use and benefits of enterprise reporting.
As the ideal candidate for this role, you have exceptional finance/business acumen, experience in building out reporting and analytics functions, and you are comfortable working with a range of technologies and techniques to transform data into actionable insights. You possess strong communication and collaboration skills and can effectively translate business requirements into technical specifications. You are highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You are passionate about enabling data-driven decision-making and driving continuous improvement in our reporting and analytics capabilities.
Desired Education, Experience, and Skills:
- BA/BS in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- 3+ years' experience of Power BI Desktop / Premium / Admin
- 2+ years' experience of DAX (use of CALCULATE, time intelligence functions, etc.)
- 2+ years' experience of Power Query (merge queries, from SharePoint folder, advanced editor, etc.)
- 2+ years' experience authoring SQL queries
- 1+ years' experience in Power Automate
- Understanding of accounting and finance concepts (General Ledger, Accrual Accounting, KPI's, etc.)
- Certifications in relevant Business Intelligence and business planning tools
- SQL Service Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) experience
- Knowledge of open-source programming languages such as Python or R
- Dynamic Row Level Secutiy in Power BI
- Power BI Report Builder
- Power Apps
- Manufacturing ERP experience
