DCI Donor Services (DCIDS) is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic team member to join us to save lives!! Our mission at DCIDS is to save lives through organ donation and we want professionals on our team that will embrace this important work!! DCI Donor Services is seeking a Manager of Business Intelligence. This person is responsible for developing strategies for data analytics and Business Intelligence to support organizational goals. They will lead the Business Intelligence team to understand organizational data and partner with business leaders to drive improvement through data visualization, analysis, and data-based decision making.

DCI Donor Services operates three organ procurement/tissue recovery organizations: New Mexico Donor Services, Sierra Donor Services, and Tennessee Donor Services. We also maximize the gift of life through the DCI Donor Services Tissue Bank and Sierra Donor Services Eye Bank.

Key responsibilities this position will perform include:

1. Leads the development and implementation of Business Intelligence and data analytics strategies that support DCIDS organizational goals and objectives to increase organ and tissue donation.

2. Manages and supports the BI team members. Serves as a resource and partners with staff to provide opportunities for growth and development. Gives timely feedback and ensures adherence to standard operating policies and procedures. Completes employee performance coaching as appropriate.

3. Supports the design, development, and maintenance of BI reporting solutions and ensures data accuracy, consistency, and completeness.

4. Oversees the utilization of Power BI, advanced Excel, and other tools to design, maintain, and enhance a suite of dashboards and visualizations to assist in determining key business decisions.

5. Develops and delivers operational performance reporting organizational KPIs. Prepares ad hoc analyses including conceptualization, data gathering, analysis, presentation, and monitoring.

6. Partners with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, propose solutions and support the development of data-related projects. Leverages skills in communication and data visualization, and data formatting to educate varying audiences in an understandable and actionable manner.

7. Develops and maintains trusted advisor relationships with leaders that include guidance for optimizing use of analytic capabilities and deliverables, and prioritization based on strategic vision.

8. Facilitates project planning to include documenting requests and technical requirements, scheduling meetings to involve appropriate business partners, and providing follow-up communication.

9. Performs other duties as assigned.


The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

  • Manage, organize, prioritize, and deliver on day-to-day tasks and longer-term projects, individually and as part of a fast-paced team.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required. Masters degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Five (5+) years related experience with advanced Excel skills (including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and PowerPivot) and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau, SQL/TDQL
  • Five (5+) years managing employees
  • Previous healthcare experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, skilled at multi-tasking, strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
