Position Summary:

 

The Business Development Sr Manager is an Individual Contributor responsible for the growth in revenue of DFS's global SAAS solutions products within the North America market (NAM). The candidate is a highly motivated and aggressive sales person at heart, who has a proven track record of success in hunting, building and forming connections with new and existing customers and sales channels.

 

This role will act as a subject matter expert on the market in the NAM region and help enable the sales channel with required sales materials, trainings and in person expertise support during customer meetings and events. The Business Development Sr Manager also provides voice of the market insights to the global product management team in support of our product strategies and roadmap development.

 

This role is part of DFS's global Solutions business unit and presents a great opportunity to join us on our journey where you will play a key role in DFS's strategic direction. This position will report directly to the Director, Business Development.

 

Role & Responsibilities:

 

  • Accountable for developing and executing robust revenue growth opportunities for our global solutions business in partnership with regional sales teams.
  • Partners with the marketing, product management, regional sales and customer success functions to grow the revenue YoY.
  • Develops and executes multiple business/revenue models to grow the sales. 
  • Proactively work with the regional sales & key accounts to help drive global solutions revenue targets.
  • Coordinate with company sales & product management professionals to review current market trends in order to propose new business ideas to drive revenue and margins.
  • Research the latest in the business industry, understanding region specific requirements, government positioning, industry trends, infrastructure readiness, etc. to build business cases for Business Development opportunities.   
  • Partner with finance team to develop the pricing models for new Business Development opportunities.
  • Drive Business Development meetings with prospective clients.
  • Conduct Voice of Customer (VOC) market research to identify customer needs.
  • Investigate alternative business models that can help drive further growth for global solutions SaaS products
  • Enable commercial teams to successfully sell and promote global solutions product portfolio.
  • Utilize Salesforce.com tool to ensure standard processes during all sales stages for growth opportunities.
  • Must be able to deliver key financial product line performance including revenue and margins, sales forecast, etc.
  • Collaborate with sales and product management team to ensure requirements are met, such as sales numbers and profit goals.

 

Requirements & Skills:

 

  • Proven working experience as a Business Development manager, sales manager, or a relevant role
  • Proven Business Development/sales track record in Complex SAAS Sales
  • Strong ability to negotiate and close Complex deals.
  • Experience in customer support is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and SalesForce.
  • High Proficiency in English
  • Market knowledge developed from success selling SaaS products intoMulti location End Users such as: Retail Stores/Hospitality/Convenience or Retail Gas Stations is preferred
  • Communication and negotiation skills
  • Time management and planning skills
  • BSc/BA in business administration, sales or relevant field
  • The role can be remote in the Western part of the US near major airport- Travels 40%

 

Essential Functions:

 

International travel - must have valid passport- Canada

Ability to travel up to 40% is required (travel necessity may vary with business demands)

Ability to effectively/clearly communicate

Salary Range    - 150k 170k Depending on Experience  + Annual Incentive Program
