Job Description
The Business Development Representative position qualifies leads and customers. This role will carry a quota of leads and does outbound calls with customers. This individual will qualify inbound leads and perform outbound communications to create sales opportunities with the focus of information gathering and introducing customers to product opportunities. The goal of this role is to provide warm leads to the sales representatives. This person will liaise between customers and sales teams to ensure opportunities are well qualified and distributed properly.
Essential Functions:
Illustrative duties may include, but are not restricted to, the following:
- Works with customers and DRB teams to ensure customer success, balancing customer objectives with DRB Systems objectives.
- Advises customers on products, services, and best practices.
- Conducts outgoing calls to provide information and generates interest in DRB Systems products.
- Qualifies and demos products for the purpose of generating interest in product opportunities.
- Assists sales teams to ensure customer needs are recognized and builds value in products.
- Relates well with peers and managers in all other departments.
- Understand customer issues while developing expertise in specialty area.
- Responds to customer requests and comments, seeking solutions as quickly as practical.
- Guides customers through DRB’s processes and departments to ensure a positive experience.
- Participates in product design teams to ensure customer requests are properly communicated.
- Performs all other duties as assigned by Management.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience: 1 year of recent sales and/or customer service experience required.
- Computer Skills: Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Salesforce proficiency a plus.
- Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid United States Driver’s license.
