We are seeking a motivated Business Development Representative to join our team to support and develop our Oklahoma territory. The successful candidate will generate new and diverse sales opportunities to expand the company's existing customer base.
Responsibilities:
- Develops and maintains strong relationships with contacts at all levels of our customers' organizations
- Acts as a liaison between customer contacts and the inside sales team
- Stays in tune with current market trends, including material prices, lead times, and industry standards
- Scouts opportunities to leverage North Shore’s competitive advantages to increase our market share
- Contributes to the development of sales forecasts and market trend analysis
- Tracks sales goals and creates reports to share with management
- Collaborates regularly with the Product Manager to review sales performance and identify target markets and industries
- Develops innovative and non-traditional means to increase market share and profitability
- 3+ years of experience in Business Development, sales, marketing, or a related field
- Must be open to working in the Oklahoma market
- Open to travel to client sites and attend industry events
- Experience in the metals industry preferred
- Familiarity working with engineering firms, EPCs, fabricators, OEMs, and resellers is a plus
- Proven track record in sales and customer service
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently
- Ability to diagnose key business needs and negotiate effectively to reach a solution that benefits both the customer and the company
