As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you will be an important member of the sales organization, owning inbound lead follow-up and outbound prospecting efforts. You will be responsible for identifying active decision makers within Behavioral Health private practices, and successfully positioning Valant?s value propositions. You will team with Account Executives to grow pipeline and partner with Sales Leadership in providing valuable market feedback to the Leadership Team.
What You?ll Do
- Be a driving force in the success of the company?s goals and objectives through achieving your individual sales quota.
- Serve as the first point of contact for prospects, creating a great first impression.
- Manage inbound lead follow up, qualify and nurture prospects, guide potential buyers through the initial stages of the sales funnel.
- You?ll set the stage for successful sales conversions by calling leads quickly, maintaining high activity output, following defined process and leveraging your own creativity to unlock opportunities and increase your own effectiveness.
- Understand the drivers for Behavioral Health practices and utilize Salesloft to build outbound cadences that create awareness of Valant?s offering and differentiated value.
- Provide value added market intelligence to Marketing, Sales, and Product teams.
- Successfully manage and overcome prospect objections.
- Take careful notes with details from your discussions to ensure the team is working with accurate information, promote seamless hand off across teams.

Preferred
- 1+ years? experience doing BDR/SDR work for a SaaS company
- Proven track record of high activity volume and success in sales
- Experience with Salesforce and Salesloft/Outreach
- Bachelor?s degree

This position can be 100% remote, but employees must be located in: California, Florida, Georgia, New Jersey, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, or Washington state.
The current base salary range for this role is 50-56k/year, plus commissions eligible.
