Summary:
Identifies opportunities and solicits appointments for Compass Rose Events over the telephone and
email by performing the following duties.
Essential duties include:
 Develop a personalized script to use when calling or emailing prospects.
 Calls prospective customers from designated market area or CRM callback list to qualify leads
and explain Compass Rose offerings.
 Secures appointments for project managers and arranges meeting date and time.
 Accurately maintain CRM by entering names and addresses of prospects solicited,
opportunities and other relevant account information.
 Sends personalized promotional materials to customers via mail and e-mail.
 Regularly communicates with Inside Sales Manager and Project Manager to determine
desired geographic calling region or priority leads to target.
 May inform current and prospective customers of current promotions and new or upgraded
products.
 Attends team meetings.
 Performs geographic research to create accurate daily call list.
 Site territory research as needed.
 Adds new leads as needed.
 Familiar with Compass Rose brand, Marketing materials and website.
 Performs other duties as needed.
 Works as an event manager as needed

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential

 Education and/or Experience: Associate Degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or
technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent
combination of education and experience.
 Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and
maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and
correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of
organization.
 Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using
whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
 Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several
concrete variables in standardized situations.
 Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS
Word, Word Processing software, internet and e-mail, Excel is helpful. Knowledge of CRM is a
plus but training is provided.
