Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for a versatile Business Development Manager with a passion for affiliate marketing and digital sales to join our Commerce Sales team. The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of the digital landscape and the ability to identify revenue opportunities, build and maintain an active sales pipeline, and close business at volume. Main areas of focus will center around prospecting new opportunities, assessing growth opportunities within your assigned areas, executing effective campaigns and managing client relations for the development of long-term partnerships. The position reports to the Director of Commerce Sales.
Our team thrives in being collaborative, analytical, detail-oriented, and able to coordinate and deliver projects with timely turnaround for the success of our clients and DTMG revenue initiatives. Commerce Sales is responsible for managing and growing Digital Trend Media Group's expansive portfolio of affiliate partnerships through optimized content, creative solutions, and innovative full-funnel media activations. Our business works closely with Commerce Editorial content, Audience Development, Direct Sales, and Data teams.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate internally with cross-functional teams, including but not limited to Content, Ad Operations, Audience Development, Social Development, Integrated Marketing, Affiliate, and Data to meet and execute on campaign objectives
- Sell content, commerce solutions, and media campaigns across Digital Trends Media Group's suite of properties and capabilities
- Work closely with our Commerce Content team to maximize revenue opportunity
- Develop client relationships through continued communication and strategic optimization
- Build a book of accounts for long-term and repeat business
- Negotiate competitive commission rates and explore monetization models best suited for different types of partnerships
- Develop planning to meet and exceed all monthly and quarterly budget goals
- Respond to inbound opportunities and engage in proactive outreach
- Be an active participant in strategic planning and brainstorming
- Manage timelines and delivery of sponsorship campaigns
- Assist in IO and media plan creation
- Pull research and analyze data to guide sound business decisions
You Have
- BS/BBA in Marketing, Communications, or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of affiliate marketing experience required with publisher experience, or content publisher experience, preferred.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with impeccable attention to detail.
- Knowledge and/or experience with Google Analytics, WordPress, Asana, affiliate networks and performance tracking solutions.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, stay organized, and remain calm under pressure.
- Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or Booster.
- Ability to work independently, accept direction and coaching, and execute with precision.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work closely within a confident, process driven, and collaborative team.

- The base salary range for this position, subject to geographic location and experience/qualifications, is: $75,000 - $100,000 + Commission
