Job Description
As the Business Development Manager, you will help us establish and grow the Business Development function at Little Otter. You'll be part of a remote team focused on developing the go-to-market strategy and closing new contracts with thoughtful prospecting and effective negotiation. Reporting into the Director of Business Development, you'll be an integral part of the Business Development team. We are looking for an analytical, organized, and motivated self-learner who is excited to grow and solidify our position as a leading provider of pediatric and family mental healthcare.
Salary: $110,000 - $130,000 plus equity

Responsibilities:- Work with the Director of Business Development to identify, prioritize, and capture new business partnership opportunities across the healthcare ecosystem.
- Complete RFIs and provider network applications to expand Little Otter's insurance coverage. Manage provider credentialing as needed in the pre-sales process.
- Provide regular and timely updates on status, progress, challenges, strategies, and results into the appropriate Client Relationship Management (CRM) platform.
- Project manage the pipeline by ensuring timely follow-up with stakeholders, working cross-functionally to get providers credentialed, and support in the design of contract proposals.
- Develop existing presentations and build new proposals for potential partners that effectively communicate the value prop and differentiation of Little Otter.
- Research new trends, regulatory changes, reimbursement shifts, & policy to support in strategy development and negotiating contracts.
- Build and nurture key relationships throughout the contracting process with payers and health systems.
- Some travel needed to represent Little Otter at industry events, conferences, and networking gatherings.
- At least 2 years of experience in a sales, sales operations, or health plan contracting role. Experience in behavioral health and/or digital health is a plus.
- Understand the language of health care contracting and provider reimbursement.
- Excellent communication skills and can confidently represent Little Otter to executive clinical and business stakeholders.
- Comfortable generating and reaching out to new prospective partners.
- Highly organized and detail oriented. You can keep processes, projects, and priorities on track.
- Analytical and interested in understanding the relationship between contracting and the unit economics of the business.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and are excited to work in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.
