Overview:
Jazz Solutions, Inc. (JSL) is searching for a Business Development Manager in our Ashburn, Virginia and Washington DC offices with a strong background and a proven track record of supporting Federal Civilian agencies. The Business Development and Account Executive will closely partner with JSL leadership, the Growth team, and our client account directors to prioritize our target prospects within the following agencies Treasury, Internal Revenue Service, Commerce, Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Energy; build a robust business pipeline; and grow sales in the Federal marketplace.
We are looking for a self-motivated and high energy individual who is motivated by success and willing to join in JSL’s sustained growth trajectory.
This position is a hybrid role with 1-2 per week in the Ashburn, VA office and is fully remote 3-4 days per week.
What you will do in this role:
- Leverage existing relationships and develop new relationships in target markets within the Federal government.
- Work with the Growth and Marketing teams to conduct account research, develop target lists, and create outreach strategies for current customers and future prospects.
- Identify new target accounts and establish relationships with key decision makers and buyers professional and IT services.
- Conduct in-person Business Development activities via customer meetings, conference attendance, etc to cultivate relationships and market JSL’s capabilities in alignment with customer needs.
- Partner with JSL’s account directors to continue to grow core business.
- Collaborate with JSL’s Tech and Growth teams to understand and develop new market capabilities that align with market needs.
- Fully understand JSL’s capabilities and past performance such that this understanding can be conveyed to prospects.
- Engage in proposal and capture opportunities to increase JSL PWIN.
- Accurately track Business Development activities and CRM solution and provide consistent communication to leadership.
What you must have:
- Bachelors degree
- 5 plus years of Business Development experience in the Federal market.
- Demonstrated experience expanding opportunities in existing accounts and opening doors to new markets.
- Demonstrated ability to develop proposals and sell solutions to clients.
- Ability to manage both internal and external stakeholder relationships through effective communication and a solution-oriented approach.
What we would like you to have:
- 7 plus years of Business Development experience in the Federal market.
