What We Need:
Obagi is seeking a self-motivated and energetic Business Development Consultant to join our Strategic Channel team, a subdivision of our sales organization. Responsible for building and maintaining an exceptional partnership with Massage Envy (part of Obagi’s Spa channel), this BDC rep will oversee all aspects of product promotion, overall sales growth, and relevant administrative duties as it relates to supporting Massage Envy accounts within the designated territory.
What You’ll Do:
- Establish and nurture trusted relationships with all Massage Envy spa staff members (managers, front office staff, a/estheticians, other applicable support staff).
- Regularly visit ME accounts (live or virtual) within designated geographical region/territory to foster reliability, consistency, and optimize ongoing business results.
- Lead detailed education and training sessions, on a quarterly basis, to promote mastery of all existing Obagi products, features, and benefits for relevant spa staff members.
- Partner with strategic channel leadership to develop and implement creative plans to drive growth.
- Track and monitor account activity, current business conditions, any relevant market trends to share with management.
- Collaborate with Marketing to maintain consistency of all necessary sales support materials needed for field accounts.
- Guide, respond, and resolve any current or new account issues received via all communication channels regarding:
- Product information and sample requests; ordering and order status; account information; product quality; promotions and events; corporate functions.
- Other projects as assigned.
What You’ll Need:
- A high school diploma is required; bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with a focus in Business, Healthcare Administration, or Life Sciences, highly preferred.
- Proven track record of sales success and exceeding target sales goals; relevant experience with other Spa or Cosmetic channels highly preferred.
- Experience in developing business plans, managing budgets, and working with multiple business groups.
- Comfortable maintaining existing relationships and creating new relationships with customers, with emphasized care around healthcare professionals.
- Confidence formulating and delivering a sales pitch and new product features/updates.
- Effective communication skills that can be tailored to all levels, both positive and negative
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other technologies.
- Possess an energetic, positive attitude that fosters trust and confidence with internal and external stakeholders.
