Business Development Associate- Entry Level

The Business Development Associate acts as a contributor in winning new business by developing and maintaining relationships with a focus on new relationships with sponsors, biotechs, and CROs This includes assessing pipelines, understanding workloads and needs for each site location and maintaining long-standing partnerships.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify new clients and leads and pursue until the trial is awarded.
• Liaise with vendors that help identify trials ensuring study follow ups are being done and the pipeline is updated.
• Communicate frequently with senior management identifying new areas of interest.
• Consistently follow-up on open opportunities to help drive new awards across all DM Clinical Research sites.
• Act as the face of the company with prospective clients.
• Manage current client relationships and communicate with them frequently.
• Continually seek new connections with prospective and current clients.
• Respond to and communicate with internal teams and external clients, as required.
• Be a go getter, tenacious and detail oriented.
• Work closely with the Business Development team and external members to ensure timely delivery of information necessary to win trial opportunities.
• Maintain communication between clients to ensure the flow of trial opportunities remains robust across all DM Clinical Research sites.\
• Any other tasks as assigned by management.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree, required

Experience:

• 2+ years of sales experience
• Inside sales in a clinical research organization or healthcare business, a plus

Credentials:

• Sales Trainings & Certifications, preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong time management skills resulting in the completion of all deliverables within required timelines.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Document management systems).
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-past and changing environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work in teams and in close collaboration with others.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision from management.
• Regular and punctual attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $42,000.00 - $53,000.00 per year
