Business Development Associate- Entry Level
The Business Development Associate acts as a contributor in winning new business by developing and maintaining relationships with a focus on new relationships with sponsors, biotechs, and CROs This includes assessing pipelines, understanding workloads and needs for each site location and maintaining long-standing partnerships.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify new clients and leads and pursue until the trial is awarded.
- Liaise with vendors that help identify trials ensuring study follow ups are being done and the pipeline is updated.
- Communicate frequently with senior management identifying new areas of interest.
- Consistently follow-up on open opportunities to help drive new awards across all DM Clinical Research sites.
- Act as the face of the company with prospective clients.
- Manage current client relationships and communicate with them frequently.
- Continually seek new connections with prospective and current clients.
- Respond to and communicate with internal teams and external clients, as required.
- Be a go getter, tenacious and detail oriented.
- Work closely with the Business Development team and external members to ensure timely delivery of information necessary to win trial opportunities.
- Maintain communication between clients to ensure the flow of trial opportunities remains robust across all DM Clinical Research sites.\
- Any other tasks as assigned by management.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree, required
Experience:
- 2+ years of sales experience
- Inside sales in a clinical research organization or healthcare business, a plus
Credentials:
- Sales Trainings & Certifications, preferred
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong time management skills resulting in the completion of all deliverables within required timelines.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Document management systems).
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-past and changing environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work in teams and in close collaboration with others.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision from management.
- Regular and punctual attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $42,000.00 - $53,000.00 per year
