Job description

Job Description

ProgramSummary

The CVI Program is designed to interrupt the cycles of violence by providing street outreach, violence interruption, case management services and job readiness training to individuals that have been disconnected from work and school, are gang-involved and/or are exiting the prison/jail system to ensure a successful path to reduced recidivism and becoming productive members of our community.

The Transitional Jobs program component provides temporary paid jobs to participants while they continue to receive support services such as case management and job placement assistance. The program is designed to improve behavioral and performance job skills and increase the likelihood of gainful employment by providing participants with work experience through temporary, subsidized jobs (i.e., job wages are subsidized by the program). The goal is to successfully transition individuals from temporary, subsidized jobs to gainful, full-time unsubsidized employment.
